Two compressed piles of clothes, trapped in cement, form a mass that bears the weight of absence. Human traces turned into lifeless matter, testifying to the ravages of war and the violence that dissolves all life. In the centre, a thistle - a plant symbol of resilience - stands out among the mass, albeit withered; nature does not survive here. The work functions as an image of double decay: human existence annihilated by violence and the earth destroyed by the same reckless force. A silent memorial to destruction, but also a reminder of our shared fragility - human and environmental.
